Introduction

        Welcome to the website of the Intelligent Computing and Communication Lab!

        Intelligent Computing and Communication lab (IC2) is affiliated to Wireless Signal Processing & Network laboratory of Beijing University of Posts and Communications.

        Intelligent Computing and Communication lab is one of the important research forces of the WSPN laboratory led by Professor Wenbo Wang. Our team not only has long-term cooperation with the major communication operators and mobile Internet companies, but also pays more attention to the combination of theory and practice, research and development. In the laboratory, we can provide every student with a good platform for learning and researching. We have trained a number of field outstanding doctoral graduates, and every year there are a large number of master graduates to enter the Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom and other enterprises.

  On the afternoon of May 20, 2019, IC2 laboratory invited assistant professor Kan Yang from Dept. of CS and associate director of Center for Information Assurance (CfIA) at the University of Memphis. The lecture was hosted by Prof. K. Zheng. The topic of this lecture is "PKChain: Blockchain-based Decentralized Public Key Management System".

  Qihao Zhou,a PhD candidate and Yue Tan, a graduate student of IC2 lab participated in the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (IEEE WCNC) held in Marrakech,Morocco from April 14th to 20th, 2019. IEEE WCNC is the world premier wireless event that brings together industry professionals, academics, and individuals to exchange information and ideas on the advancement of wireless communications and networking technology. During the meeting, Qihao Zhou and Tan Yue presented their papers titled "A Novel Rate and Channel Control Scheme Based on Data Extraction Rate for LoRa Networks" and "An In-Vehicle Keyword Spotting System with Multi-Source Fusion for Vehicle Applications".

 

  On the afternoon of March 26, 2018, IC2 laboratory invited Prof. Tarik Taleb from the School of Electrical Engineering at Aalto University to give an academic lecture. The lecture was hosted by Prof. K. Zheng. The topic of this lecture is "On Network Softwarization and Slicing - Towards Agile 5G Mobile Systems".

  Zhe Yang, one of the PhD candidates in IC2 lab, has attended the MIIS 2017 in Shenzhen between Dec. 13 and 17, 2017. This conference is organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data, Tencent, etc. The conference aims at providing a platform for researchers about how to use modern computation techniques to solve practical problems in big data analytics. During the conference, Yang Zhe learned the talks from researchers and had an in-depth discussion with them on Deep Learning, MDP, etc.

  Junyi Xie and Haitao Liu, graduate students of our laboratory, were invited to attend 2017 3rd International Conference on Computer and Communications (ICCC) on Dec 13-16, 2017. The ICCC conference was held in Chengdu, China. More than 600 participants from 15 countries attended the conference, attracting the attention of scholars and engineers from all over the world. During the conference, Liu Haitao and Xie Junyi students read the article "Design and Implementation of a LTE-WiFi Aggregation System Based on SDR" and "A Comb-DMRS Based CFO Estimation Scheme for LTE-V Systems in High-Speed Scenario", and conducted in-depth technical exchanges and learning with relevant college teachers and students.

  Lu Hou,one of the PhD candidates and Wenju Zhao, graduate student of IC2 lab participated in the IEEE Global Communication Conference (IEEE Global Communications Conference.IEEE GLOBECOM) held in Singapore from Dec 4th to 8th, 2017. The conference is one of the two flagship meetings of the IEEE Communications Association. During the meeting, Hou Lu and Zhao Wenju attended the car networking and networking communication technology speech, and had an in-depth discussion with relevant experts and teachers in Colleges and universities.

  Zhiming Geng, a master candidate of IC2 laboratory, took part in the 7th IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation, and EMC Technologies (MAPE 2017) which is held in Xi'an, China, from October 24 to 27, 2017. The aim of the Symposium is to provide a multi-discipline forum for engineers and scientists in the fields of microwave, antenna, propagation, and EMC technologies, which is one of the most important international academic conferences in the field of wireless communications. In the MAPE 2017 conference, GengZhiming attended the topic and speech on Communication, Information and Control Technology, and made technical exchanges with the teachers and students of related colleges and enterprises.

  The sixth IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC2017) was hold in the picturesque city of Qingdao, China, 22-24 October, 2017. ICCC 2017 aims at addressing a key theme on “Communications for Everything”. Master candidate Yuli Li, master candidate Nan Yu and master candidate Yingzhuoxu Kuang were invited to attend this conference. They presented their papers titled "Coexistence of LTE and the WLAN Systems and Improvement of L2S Interface", "Radio Resource Allocation for D2D-based V2V Communications with Lyapunov Optimization" and "Efficiency and Fairness of Energy Broadcasting Systems with Centralized Massive MIMO" respectively. During the conference, Yuli Li consulted and discussed about wireless communication technology with excellent researchers from Tsinghua University, HUAWEI, etc. Nan Yu took part in some reports of vehicular networks and knew about the future research directions. Yingzhuoxu Kuang discussed with other researchers about the related issues of future energy harvesting.

  Zhe Yang, one of the PhD candidates in ICC lab, has attended the IEEE PIMRC 2017 in Montreal from Oct. 8 to 13, 2017. This conference has a great influence on the international wireless communications and attracts a lot of researchers every year. During the conference, Yang Zhe introduced his paper in detail and had an in-depth discussion with other researchers on IoT, 5G, information security, etc.

  During Jun. 4th - 7th, our lab’s master candidate, i.e., Xingguang Wei, was invited to attend the 2017 IEEE 85th Vehicle Technology Conference (VTC) and presented his paper named as ‘A Portable SDR Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access Testbed for 5G Networks’. This year’s VTC was held at Sydney, Australia, which is a beautiful coastal city. VTC attracted lots of scholars and engineers from all around the world to share their points of view about the latest research hotspots. During the conference, Xingguang gave a detailed presentation of his paper and had a discussion on the 5G key technologies with other researchers.

  As one of the two flagship conferences of IEEE Communications Society, 2017 IEEE International Conference on Communications (IEEE ICC) was held in Paris, France, from 21 to 25 May. Ph.D. candidate Haojun Yang and master candidate Qing Tang participated in 2017 IEEE ICC, and made the presentation about resource allocation in dense vehicular networks. During the conference, Haojun Yang discussed with experts and scholars about the related issues of future vehicular networks. Qing Tang took part in some report of physical layer experts and understood their research contents and future research directions.

  IEEE Access Best Multimedia Contest Winner 2016
In our laboratory, the article entitled "Design and implementation of LPWA-Based air quality monitoring system" has been selected as a promotional prize winner for the 2016 IEEE Access Best Multimedia Contest for the multimedia. Moreover, the submitted video was selected from a group of 25 submissions and stood out for its presentation of technical content, innovation, and quality of the multimedia video.
Congratulations to the award-winning teachers and students. Special thanks to Feng Jiayang for the elaborate design and production of video. This award is not only a confirmation of everyone's hard work, but also fully reflects the strong innovation ability and high-level scientific research strength of IC2 laboratory.

  October 16, 2016, “Xiasha Cup” the second China Graduate Contest on Application, Design, and Innovation of Mobile-Terminal came to an end in Hangzhou Dianzi University. The two teams "Legendarywork" and "PRODIGYTEC" made up of eight students from IC2 lab all entered the final. The works of the two teams "FEEL - based on LPWA mobile terminal application” and “AIREYE - based on QUAD-ROTOR aerial remote control mobile terminal application” both won the third prize.

  From Sept 18, 2016 to 21, Hengyang Shen and Jinchao Wang, both of whom study in IC2 lab as master students, have participated the 84th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC, which is one of the top level conference at the relative field) at Montreal, Canada. This conference has various excellent participants from academy, government and industry. During the conference, the two students have shared their specific and detailed view about their papers. And furthermore, they have discussed and explored newest views with researchers study in IoC, IoT, new version of wireless communication and other hottest topics.

  From April 3, 2016 to 6, the graduate students in IC2 laboratory, Da Fu and Lei Yao, attended the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference 2016 in Doha, Qatar. WCNC 2016 is simply a stage where many major areas are to be talked over. Most of these are typically Science, Communication Technology, Wireless Communication, Communication Engineering, Mobile Communication and Wireless Networking. At the WCNC 2016 conference, Da Fu and Lei Yao participated in the symposium on compression perception, channel estimation and signal detection, and exchanged technical knowledge with relevant companies and universities.
